As a co-founder of a high tech start up and selling it 8 years, followed by forming a professional services company that continues to grow and thrive 10 years on – there are unexpected similarities and unique challenges Margo will share along with her views on how to be intentional in designing the business for scale rather than defaulting to circumstances as they unfold.

Margo Crawford is the President, CEO and founder of the Business Sherpa Group, a leading business solutions services company that provides virtual finance, HR & marketing teams along with Talent Solutions and strategy & governance support to small and mid-sized businesses. She and her team of more than 70 associates have supported over 250+ companies throughout North America from formation stage through to sale. She was also a co-founder of Meriton Networks and was instrumental in building a company with locations around the world, raising over $75M in equity financing and related M&A transactions. Margo sits on several Boards, currently including Board of Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT), Ottawa Network For Education (ONFE), the Canadian Museum of Nature Foundation and is on the Invest Ottawa Innovation Committee.
