Parul Shah MSP, RSW
Parul Shah MSP, RSW, is a privately owned Psychotherapist in the Ottawa area. Parul has over 22 years of experience in the Mental Health Field. Her main professional focus are on frontline personnel dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma.
She also continues to provide therapy for anyone dealing with various traumas. The true understanding trauma often results either from lived-experience or from living with someone who has a Mental Health Injury. Parul is also a 911 family member who understands the dynamics of being viewed only as a family to an officer, yet it is often family members who see first hand of the signs of mental health deterioration with their frontline loved one. During COVID-19, Parul private practice is still considered an essential service, and has continued to provide Virtual Therapy Sessions to New and Existing Clients.
Parul has been on local radio shows providing insight on how we can manage our anxiety during this pandemic. Parul is also a co-facilitator for A Peer Family based group called First Responders Family Resiliency Support Group Ottawa . Parul is also currently a PhD psychology part time student at Walden University
