“Leadership is neither a rank nor a title. It is a choice. The choice to provide care and protection for those for whom we are responsible.” – Simon Sinek
Simon Sinek says it best, leadership is a skill that can be acquired through practice and commitment to help the person to the left of you and the one right of you. This session is to help you learn about HR whether you are an entrepreneur or professional working at an organization.
Monika is an HR professional with 10+yrs of experience in Human resources. She lives with a passion to help organizations live their full potential by attracting, retaining, and developing diverse talent to help achieve the company’s strategic business objectives.
In the past years, she helped organizations implement progressive recruitment and retention strategies to onboard talent, compensation, total rewards activities, process development, and lead company-wide Performance Management projects to help develop people and an excellent “People First” company culture.
Monika takes great pride in supporting her community and loves helping professionals through mentorship programs through WBN and other community partners like Hire Immigrant Ottawa, Empowering Visible Minority Newcomer Women (ENW) Project, etc. She’s an active HRPA member and has spent years at both start-up and enterprise levels working with C-Suite members. In 2017, she started her Marketing agency to help start-ups using IBM Watson technologies with their marketing needs and campaign management.
Monika has a Bachelor of Computer Science from Banasthali University, India, and a Post Graduation in Human Resources from Georgian College, Canada. She moved to Ottawa in 2014 for work to lead a start-up project from her employer and gradually moved to her current role, as an HR Advisor at a 32yrs old, SaaS technology company, Multiview Financial Software Inc. Outside work, she enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her puppy.
