Speaker: Christina Nesrallah Topic: Philanthropy in your Business: Expense or Investment?
Christina will share with you her experience with giving back while helping to promote her business. During her 14-year career as a financial advisor, Christina has actively supported multiple local charitable organizations, all aligning with her personal and professional values and beliefs. As a newer advisor, Christina was invited by Desjardins Financial Security to present on this topic to other new advisors at a national conference. In March 2019, she was asked to be the keynote speaker at the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples’ symposium people for Creative Leaders, a symposium for professional development with a focus on entrepreneurship, leadership and internships. She lead the audience into the afternoon sessions focused on Civic Engagement and Successful Indigenous Entrepreneurs, speaking on volunteering/getting engaged (Women’s Business Network), challenges of self-employment when parenting young children, and marrying those two topics into networking, benefits of networking and key take away for networking, whether for civic engagement, business, or education.
