About Ima

We asked Ima what made her jump into her craft?
At the age of 9 I didn’t really understand the concept of a moment in time, but I certainly recognized this when I shot my very first photo.
My father gifted me this object that looked strange and at the same time ultra interesting to me; my very first camera.
From the moment I took my initial picture I was hooked! Impatiently I saw the way the magnificent image was captured exactly how I had seen it, right in front of my eyes. It was magical to be able to freeze a moment in time such as the image of my Father who I didn’t have the opportunity to see very often. I enjoyed and treasured this photo; I could look at it as often as I wanted especially when whenever I missed him.
Turned out that it was the camera that had in fact captured me, for life. My lifelong best friend.
I embraced and learned all about the Art of photography, whether that be printing, imaging, graphics, framing, photo sessions, lighting, posing, dressings, costumes, and even surrounded myself with different expertise such as makeup artists and stage artists.
Looking forward, while the photography industry evolves and comes up with new technology to do photography provides better access to those who wish to practice the Art of photography.
Ima built her career as a photographer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for over 36 years, and she is a graphic artist and a multimedia artist by trade. She worked with countless individuals, businesses, and government departments to capture the magic of their special moments. She also supported her clients with their printing requirements, professionally framing their art, and continues her commitment to ensuring her clients and all photo art look amazing through the power of the lens.
Ima is grateful to have always been privileged to practice, in its entirety, the art of photography which is her life passion and the love of her life.
