About Susan
Susan is originally from Switzerland she originally qualified as a nurse and later completed her Bachelor of Science and Social Studies through the Open University (U.K.).
Susan has lived in the U.S., Argentina, Brazil and the United Kingdom – where she has always enjoyed going to the local markets and discovering new flavours, all of these countries have had an influence on Susan’s view of nutrition and food in general.
When her daughter was diagnosed as being gluten and dairy-intolerant, Susan decided to take a new approach to health and trained as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where she graduated in 2016. She moved to Ottawa in 2017 and has since set up her own nutrition and lifestyle coaching practice, with a strong focus on type 2 diabetes, gut health, weight management, and digestive issues.
Her practice focuses on educating and supporting clients in understanding how foods can work for them, not against them. Using a personalized meal plan, she will help you understand the various food groups, drawing on these concepts to help you make the necessary changes without feeling deprived or counting calories. Food is more than just a recipe, it's about family, friends, lifestyle, energy, and your long-term health.
