    Congratulations on being nominated for the 2024 Businesswoman of the Year Awards (BYAs)! The BYA Nominations Committee is hosting an optional application support session with guest speaker Caterina Perry.

As the Founder of Your Success Unlimited - Advancing Leaders and author of the book, 'Now That the Candy’s Gone: Mastering the Art of Self-Confidence, she pours her heart into empowering women leaders across various sectors. With over two decades of experience and a track record of award-winning performance, Caterina isn't just shaping careers; she's shaping destinies.

    Renowned for her expertise in helping leaders curate their successes, craft their professional narrative, and establish powerful career showcase portfolios, she ensures that her clients shine brightly in every professional endeavor.

    Caterina is honored to offer her support to nominees of the National Capital Region Businesswoman of the Year Awards, guiding them on the path to crafting winning submissions. Her support session will cover essential elements such as:

    1. Criteria for submission
    2. Mastery of storytelling to captivate judges
    3. Effective quantification and qualification of achievements

    Join the Mentorship Committee for a Monthly Roundtable!

    These sessions aim to create a valuable platform for our members to engage with experienced mentors and fellow entrepreneurs.

    Session Format:

    • Date and Time: Second Thursday of the month, 12pm - 1:30pm
    • Platform: Zoom
    • Participation: Join the Zoom call to ask questions live or pre-submit your questions in advance. You can stay for the whole session or come and go. Questions are not limited to theme, all questions are welcome.
    • Recordings: Sessions are recorded, and members receive the recordings soon after the session. Doing so ensures that you can access the answer in the recording if you pre-submit your question and are unable to attend the session in person.

    Session Flow:

    1. Welcome (12:00 PM–12:05 PM): Brief introduction and welcome message.
    2. Icebreaker (12:05 PM–12:10 PM): A quick activity to set a positive and interactive tone.
    3. Theme Introduction (12:10 PM–12:15 PM): Briefly introduce the session's theme.
    4. Open Q&A (12:15 PM–1:15 PM): Members can ask questions related to the theme or any other business-related inquiries. Mentors will provide insights and guidance.
    5. Closing Thoughts (1:15 PM–1:30 PM): Summarize key takeaways and announce the theme for the next session.

    Pre-submit Questions:

    • Members can pre-submit their questions related to the session's theme or any other business-related topics through [please pre-submit your questions using e-mail natalie@buzzcodex.com]. This allows mentors to prepare thoughtful responses in advance.

    We believe these sessions will be a fantastic opportunity for learning, networking, and gaining valuable insights. Your active participation is highly encouraged, as your questions drive the depth and richness of the discussions.

    Jill Fratpietro has over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, in which she is a Partner at OneLife Benefits & Consulting which specializes in Group Benefits & Retirement programs. In 2020, Jill was selected as 1 of 45 National Elite Women in Insurance by Insurance Business Canada, which celebrates the insurance industry’s female leaders.

    For the majority of her career, she was the only female on the business development team, which further pushed Jill to get involved in advocacy for women and gender equality. She is fiercely passionate about forging women’s equality, celebrating women’s achievements, and influencing others’ beliefs & actions.

    Jill recently wrote and published a book “You Are Who You Choose to Be.” Jill is excited to speak to you about some of the key insights from her book. Specifically, some of the obstacles women in business face - both personally and professionally - and more importantly, how to navigate those obstacles in your life to create your own success.

    Clare serves or has served on a number of non-profit boards including chair of the Queensway Carleton Hospital Board, member of the Harvard Women’s leadership board and presently chair of the Beechwood National Cemetery board. She is a visionary for the Prosperity project, founding member of women and Philanthropy at the Queensway Carleton hospital, a member of The Owners and female founders sub-committee of Invest Ottawa and the program advisory committee of the IBU in Toronto.
