We spend a lot of time networking but how often are we planning ahead of time what we’d like to get out of those events? Are we creating unrealistic pressure on ourselves or not setting the right goals to feel like we’re getting the best return on the investment of the time and money required of networking? Let’s get clear on our goals and pinpoint the right tactics to achieve them.
Janet Riehm
Janet started her own business over 5 years ago and has never looked back. Around that time, she joined the Women's Business Network and soon became the Treasurer, a position she held for 2 years.
Janet is a CPA with over 20 years’ experience and a special interest in the not-for-profit, charity, and small business sectors. She has in-depth knowledge of CRA legislation particularly as it applies to the charities regulatory framework and Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA).
Janet consults primarily with CEOs, Executive Directors, and Finance/Audit committees to provide a variety of services including but not limited to strategic financial management advise on all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, compliance and regulatory reporting, risk management, finances and accounting, and What If financial modelling.
Janet assists organizations to develop and strengthen organizational financial controls, business systems, policies, and processes, incorporating standards of risk management, good governance and due diligence, controllership principles and practices.
