Persistent Pain Management
Chronic Pain was recently recognized by the World Health Organization as a disease in its own rights. This distinction validates the significance of chronic pain and its impact on the health and well-being of millions of people worldwide. Eva would like to share the message that pain is complex, it is an emotional experience that is unique to the individual, it is not a predictor of tissue damage.
This presentation will explain the science behind pain and the evidence-based treatment options that exist, but that are sometimes hard to find. Eva believes that by simply listening, educating and using movement to retrain the nervous system, people can learn to manage their pain and begin to enjoy life again. She is very excited to have the opportunity talk about chronic pain and there will be plenty of time for questions.

Eva is a registered Physiotherapist in both Ontario and Quebec and has her own practice through The Movement Co. in the Glebe, Ottawa. Eva is also a Research Assistant on chronic pain at McGill University. After graduating in 2015, Eva has had the opportunity to explore different areas of practice and has come to realize her true passion for enabling health through movement.
Eva believes in client education, active-based therapy and that every exercise can be modified to suit the individual. She uses a personalized approach to help prevent and treat chronic illness by gently guiding people to move more and feel better. Everybody has a starting point, and with a little help and support, you can move forward.
