The WBN is proud to present our Women’s Wealth Series, during which our members and future members will hear advice from local women experts on various topics that impact our financial future. Experts in their respective fields will take you through the journey of understanding the importance of taking ownership of your financial well-being, the steps you can take to protect your financial future during life-changing events, including cohabitation, marriage, and in anticipation of death, illness, or loss of income. Our experts will canvass the issues that arise through this journey, and help you determine what steps you need to take to protect your business and personal financial future. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from, and engage with, our experts.
You can register for all or any number of the series’ sessions, with a discounted registration fee for the full series. All sessions will be held at the offices of Borden, Ladner, Gervais LLP (100 Queen St., Suite 1300), from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. [Light snacks & beverages will be offered], followed by questions and networking.

Women are different, and different factors impact how their financial future should be managed. Scout will explore these differences with guidance on how women can ensure that their unique business and personal financial future meet their unique needs.
About Scout Schooley
Scout Schooley is a Senior Investment Associate with Scotia McLeod on the Saikali Portfolio Management Team. While working in the finance industry, Scout identified two key facts:
- The amount of money managed by women in Canada is rapidly increasing, and more than 50% of the countries money is expected to by managed by women by 2030.
- Despite this change, the financial industry is still very male dominated.
Women approach finances very differently then men do, and it is important that they have the knowledge and skills needed to identify what they want and know how to get there. In her session, Scout speaks about these differences and provides guidance on how to take control of your finances.
